When leaving your apartment is akin to stepping onto a high fashion runway, you know you’ve got to put your best foot forward. So on Saturday afternoon, amid a crowd of paparazzi and superfans, that’s just what Taylor Swift did. En route to Detroit for the fifth stop on her 1989 World Tour, the singer took to the streets in a seriously racy ensemble that consisted of a striped crop top, hot pants, sky high heels, cat eye sunglasses, and a yellow handbag slung ever-so-daintily over her left wrist.
We all know that Swift has a penchant for crop tops and short skirts or bottoms, but the heels are the real talking point here. How high can you go? The peep-toe platforms give the 5′10″ stunner at least five extra inches of height. Swift must know that this combo of short shorts and super high heels make her already long, toned limbs seem impossibly longer. What’s even more fun is the reaction of the crowd in the background. Are they surprised that their rouse of standing outside of a celebrity’s house and actually seeing her has actually worked? Or is it Swift’s killer look that has their mouths agape?

Perhaps Swift, who spent the previous evening grabbing dinner with model pals Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt, was inspired by their runway prowess. Or maybe she’s just feeling sassy now that she’s happily dating deejay Calvin Harris.
Whatever the reason, we say go for it girl, you look great!
Now as for those shorty shorts. Is it just us or was she wearing the same pair at her performance last night in Detroit? If that’s the case, Taylor, we salute your sexy new attitude toward rock n’ roll dressing.
