Robin Williams's Daughter Zelda Williams Returns to Twitter to Thank Fans 'Who've Lost Loved Ones'

Zelda Williams returned to Twitter on Tuesday, thanking fans and paying tribute to her late father Robin.

"I just want to say thank you for all the stories and letters I've been receiving, especially from those who've also lost loved ones," Williams wrote in the first of three consecutive Tweets after leaving social media a month ago to harassing messages in the wake of her father's suicide.

She continued: "I don't come online often, but reading of others who have dealt with this loss & gone on to live happy, full lives is helpful. Truly."

The 25-year-old daughter of the late Oscar winner concluded by posting a happy photo of her dad joyously singing alongside Sesame Street's two-headed monster, writing "Bearded sing off :)".

It was just a month ago that Williams announced on Instagram that she had decided to leave social media in order to "heal," citing "cruel" cyber bullies who were "mining our accounts for photos of dad" and "judging" her for the number of pictures she posted.

"The real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or 'selfies,' " she wrote on Instagram. "I shared him with a world where everyone was taking their photo with him, but I was lucky enough to spend time with him without cameras too. That was more than enough, and I'm grateful for what little time I had … Goodbye. Xo"

But in early September, she briefly broke her silence to Tweet a link to a Tumblr post quoting Harvey Fierstein.

"Never be bulled into silence," she wrote. "Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself."
