Earlier this week I had a chance to check out the new trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets alongside director Luc Besson and actor Dane DeHaan.
Now it's your turn, only without the company.
The movie, from the director of The Fifth Element, is set to hit theaters in July and if Besson has his way, it will be the first of two, maybe three more movies all pulling from the French comic serial adventures of Valerian and Laureline.
A fun note. The music for the trailer, “Because” by The Beatles, wasn't actually approved when the trailer was originally cut and put together. The team behind the film felt it was such a perfect fit, however, and knowing how difficult it can be to license Beatles music, they decided to create the whole thing and show it off to Sony/ATV Music Publishing, owners of the song catalog.
When they saw and heard it, they decided it was a good fit, too.
"They watched it and they said yes," Besson said. "So we're lucky."
