How to use SOCKS 5 with Google Chrome

Follow these instructions to configure Google Chrome with SOCKS 5.

1 Click the Settings in GOOGLE CHROME Tab.


2 Scroll down the list until you see the "Show advanced settings..." link and then click on it.


3 Scroll further down the list until you see the "Change proxy settings..." button. CLICK on it.


4 On the Internet Properties window, click on the "LAN settings" button.


5 In the Local Area Network ( LAN ) Settings, un check the box that says "Automatically detect settings." And then, in the Proxy Server section, click the check box to enable "Use a proxy server for your LAN" AND "Bypass proxy server for local address"


6 In the Local Area Network ( LAN ) Settings, Click ON "ADVANCE"


7 IN "PROXY SETTINGS" write your SOCKS 5 Address and PORT then click on OK


When you're finished making changes, click OK, and then click OK.

To stop using the Proxy Server, repeat the above steps, but unchecked "Use a proxy server for your LAN" AND "Bypass proxy server for local address" and recheck "Automatically detect settings" in the LAN Settings.
