It looks like Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are really over.
Despite his continuous plea to give him another chance, AMpm FUN confirms that the actress has filed for divorce from the "Blurred Lines" singer in a Los Angeles court, citing the oh-so-familiar "irreconcilable differences." Additionally, Patton is asking the judge to grant the estranged couple joint custody of their 4-year-old son Julian.
Patton's divorce filing comes nearly eight months after announcing their separation. "We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," the pair, who have been married for nine years, said in a joint statement at the time.
Their last public appearance together was just weeks prior at the Grammy Awards, where Thicke performed and Patton attracted all sorts of attention for her dramatic zebra-striped dress.
Following the separation, Thicke attempted to win Paula back through numerous grand gestures—including an entire album (which flopped).
However, while the famous crooner made it very clear that he was on a quest to win back his estranged wife by publicly professing his love over the last few months without even having seen his ex, Thicke admitted that he was kinda winging it.
"I actually have no idea what I'm doing," the "Lost Without U" singer admitted during an appearance on Good Morning America in July. "I'm just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one."
