Actress Misty Upham Died Of Head Injuries

Officials have ruled that actress Misty Upham died of injuries to her head and torso. According to the King County medical examiner in Washington, Upham, 32, died on Oct. 5 from blunt-force injuries. The circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.

Upham, who recently starred in "August: Osage County," was reported missing in October and discovered by a search party in a ravine in Auburn, Wash., less than a week later.

Police don't believe foul play contributed to her death, and her family thinks it was accidental and not suicide.

The actress had been suffering from mental issues and had changed her medication when she moved from California to Washington to help care for her ailing father prior to her death.

Upham has appeared in the films "Frozen River," "Jimmy P." and the TV series "Big Love."
