Taylor Swift Talks 'Bad Blood' With Fellow Female Singer: Is It About Katy Perry?

Taylor Swift revealed in her latest interview with Rolling Stone magazine that she's got an out and out enemy in the music industry, another female performer who was on tour at the same time as her.

The Shake It Off singer revealed to the magazine that the angriest track on her forth-coming album 1989, 'Bad Blood' is about a feud she has with another singer. Swift revealed that she'd never been sure if the singer liked her, but after an incident when they were both on tour, she was now sure.

The 24 year-old said: "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'

Revealing the turning point she said: "Then last year, the other star crossed a line. She did something so horrible,"

She explained: "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."

According to reports, Katy Perry hired three of Swift's dancers, while they were on her Red tour, for her Prismatic world tour, which would fit with the story. Katy was also dating one of Taylor's most famous ex-boyfriends for around 18 months, until March this year, John Mayer.

One of the dancers even said that Katy's tour was more fun than Taylors, speaking to the Examiner Australia, Lockhart Brownlie said: "I was with Taylor for the first six months. It was a great experience and she's a great person to work with, but then Katy contacted us.''

The article states: "Perry contacted her three former dancers to say she was releasing another album (Prism ) and wanted them to join her on a second world tour. Brownlie spent 10 months in 2011 touring with Perry for her California Dreams world tour.

"Obviously we were with Katy for 2 1/2 years, she's like family to us, so we were, like, 'absolutely','' went on, having toured with her in 2011. "We weren't really dancing in Taylor's tour anyway so I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour.

He went on: "The experiences were completely different.

"Taylor is very untouchable," he said, "When we did see her, we had so much fun with her, but she's a lot more protected than Katy.

"Katy's 28 now and can do her own thing. Her team are so lovely, so we have such a good connection. And this time around she is a lot more in control.''

So could this be the betrayal Taylor's talking about?

The blonde famously attacked the singer in her revenge track, Dear John. Hinting that there appears to be a personal element to the rivalry, Taylor added: "But I don't think there would be any personal problem if she weren't competitive,"

There aren't many female artists who have enough power to jeopardise an act like Taylor, so there's only a small pool of singers to pick from.
